This is what happens when you forego innovation and foresight and replace them with quick short term profits
Samsung has been killing functional features and software upgrades for years to force hardware upgrades. DeX was half-baked for three generations, MST in Samsung Pay got killed despite being objectively superior to NFC, and now the Galaxy S26 upgrade cycle gets strangled before it even starts. This is the pattern: make the old experience worse so the new hardware feels mandatory, then charge a premium for the privilege of not being cut off. Did anyone actually expect Samsung to change course when artificial scarcity is their entire business model?
