To add to this: Several beer breweries are actually having shortages of alcohol-free beer because of the high demand (especially Erdinger). It has to be brewed differently, so they can’t just use the same tanks and stuff that they use for alcoholic beer.
Oof I accidentally had AF Erdinger at the end of a marathon in 2016. Hope they’ve improved it since then, because it was not drinkable in any way.

I think it’s gotten better since they started using the reverse osmosis method. The last one I had tasted like malty hop water. Not bad, but not something I’d pay money for. But the NA Erdinger got dumped.
