Absolutely agree. I keep seeing so many takes where they are ignoring that they specifically stated it was competing in the PC market, not the console market. I don’t see it being less than $800. Id expect $1000+

Part of me agrees with you. The other part of me knows how well capitalism can pivot so much quicker than laws can be made to curtail the bad practices, that the system seems to be the issue. Maybe the government is the issue too, but it’s a lot of bad faith companies that ruins the bunch. Forward thinking and progressive thinking with quick measured action could do it, but most people who are elected aren’t capable of that or are too compromised to make anything work.

Too little too late. I used to love going to the movies a few times a year growing up. Now I rarely see a movie worth watching, much less worth paying that much money. The medium has kind of died to me, and I took an elective in school specifically because I enjoyed movies so much.
Missing an extremity is an actual medical condition… I get your point about other kinds of conditions that are congenital or otherwise not directly due to physical harm. PTSD would be a good example of what could have been included in that case as well (this might actually exist in some form from disney). With how poorly so much of it was handled, it’s probably for the best that they didn’t try to tackle autism or Downs syndrome at the same time though.
I’m curious for your reasoning behind this. Is this lack of knowledge outside of the movies/disney meta? Lack of knowledge about the writing behind it? Do you know shit about Star Wars instead? I’m actually curious what you mean because so many fans know so many different fragments of an almost unattainably large lore space that you sound incredibly wrong and right at the same time.

If you are being serious, his name is Lionel Messi, an Argentinian native, and he is one of the most popular athletes world wide. He plays soccer but is towards the end of his career at this point as he plays in the United States professional soccer league, MLS, which is pretty much retirement for a player of his caliber. The jersey he is wearing is from FC Barcelona, in the Spanish professional soccer league, which is where he spent the majority of his career and gained his popularity. If you were joking then you got me haha.

It’s crazy that Mr. Burns from the Simpsons was in nuclear and not coal or oil. Probably a product of the propaganda at the time.

I’m sure the other rock/liquid/gas burning plants have had no issues along their lifetime and had no hand in demonizing the “new” slowly exploding rock technology after extreme negligence let the one big one happen. /s
I’d take the band aid of nuclear in my backyard vs what we rely on now after learning all of the insider knowledge of someone who personally worked in energy generation that did all of this plus renewables almost their entire professional life.

You just reminded me of an awful joke my mom made many times about partying like it’s 1999 which I’m sure you’re referencing. Many times I asked her what our plans were and she would start singing that line in cringier and cringier ways that I groaned more and more as a kid, teenager, and adult. She passed unexpectedly a few years back.
All that to say, thanks for the rare reference I haven’t heard since, and I internally groaned again. I hope you have people to groan about it like I do you cheeky devil.

That fight was exceptional and the brow cut was so hard to watch. If the 3rd match wasn’t there the whole thing would’ve been a waste of time as a casual watcher. 2nd match was good but wouldn’t have pulled my attention by itself. 1st one seemed bush league.

I’d argue the 1st one was weak where the winner couldn’t even punch with his left hand. Just kinda swatted like a kitten. The title card just sucked so bad you might’ve lowered your standards to say it was amazing.

Yeah the most upsetting part is that a soulless cash grab between a historically great athlete that could’ve not gotten involved and a hack influencer with a strong following of youths happened at all. It’s teaching young minds that money means everything and tricks them into thinking any part of this fight was fair or real. It makes boxing look bad, especially after watching a very legitimate and hard fought match minutes earlier. Jake needs to fight someone who’s a real competitor. No more retirees, basketball players, etc. If this was two old guys boxing then it would have felt very different to me. The match sucked and the viewer was the biggest loser throughout all of it.

Well you’re one of the child brains in this case so good for you I guess? If your single issue is between someone who can’t suddenly fix your problem overnight while trying to stop fasism and a fascist who promised genocide in the place you care plus where he wants to run as president then you need to think about your choice.

I’ve personally seen them drive down a major highway looking like absolute dangers to society veering at lane edges and honking horns with either no licence plate or covered plates with crazy flags and horrible stickers in a state that will invariably vote blue (not California). They exist and they are not aware of how detrimental to themselves if they win.

Hawaii is too good for him too. Maybe forget the island and just go with a raft.

While I completely agree with you, consumers are slowly moving that way, regulations are slowly moving that way, and costs of fuel will eventually move that way quicker and quicker. Either the car industry listens because people will jump ship to the brands that embrace it or go to the potentially more sustainable and environmentally friendly public transportation. At this point it’s a smart competitive decision to start building the R&D, manufacturing, and supply chains for widespread EVs. You don’t want to be on the back foot when it does become necessity.

I see it as a classic intent vs outcome. If someone tries to commit atrocities and fails then their moral character is just as bad. People can change and reform but the attempt, exuberance, and time involved are all bigger signals than how the victim is affected. Incompetence can’t be a defense for evil at a certain point.

That sounds very reasonable as a prediction. I could see it being a pretty interesting black mirror episode. I would love it to stay as fiction though.
Sorry this is months after, but it’s cool to see it worked. I use a software called XXX Agile and it’s not the worst I work with but when ported to my company has some flaws. There’s a long project to switch somewhere else for document control and people who should know much better than me are worried it will fill some gaps but open us up to way more.
Sounds like your company needs to add educational programs so they can see the bigger picture. The opposite is also true. Plenty of managers whether project or people don’t know anything technical and create more issues than would ever be acceptable for someone way below their pay grade would afforded.
