I had a quick look about the “spamming”

Turns out it wasn’t spamming the same post over 30 communities, but just adding an additional message in the body of relevant posts.

These have been received positively by a few people

• https://lemmy.world/comment/20154484 (another user saying that Stamets is a pillar of the community)

On the other hand, the 30 identical comments posted under each of those unique posts have been received quite negatively

Doesn’t that fall under “other sanctions”?

What sanction did they impose (e.g. community ban, instance ban, removed comment)?

Post only about bans or other sanctions that you have received from a mod or admin.

Now that we see that the decision was a comment removal and not a ban, I’m not sure if you should expect apologies, removing a comment that has since then been restored seems like a much minor event than an actual ban

db0 comes away looking really bad.

It comes looking bad because the whole post was kind of a smear campaign about the instance.

I never received an apology or explanation from the mod responsible. As long as that remains true, and the mod responsible is still a mod, I absolutely maintain my original stance.
