I have only ever seen Cyberpunk in 2k res, ultra graphics, ultra widescreen, ray-tracing and good fps at a friend’s house and it does indeed look nice. But in my opinion there are too many reflective surfaces. It’s like they are overdoing the reflectiveness on every object just because they can. They could have done a better job at making it look realistic.

2·1 year agoFair enough. We have the EUCD here and as I mentioned we cooperate with America to uphold copyright. I don’t know exactly what is EU law and US law but they seem pretty similar. Ether way, our personal rights here reign supreme. Doesn’t matter if it’s copy protected.

2·1 year agoMany European countries (and companies there in) listen to and respect DMCA takedown requests and my point is that it does not apply to individuals. So yes, it applies in Sweden too. Maybe after Trump is done destroying the diplomatic relationships with Europe we can finally start not giving a shit about DMCA.

7·1 year agoIt exists in Sweden. We are allowed to make private copies of movies, music and whatever. If I want to rip a CD and give it to my family and friends that is 100% legal. But it’s not legal to sell the copies.

I am not completely sure but I think Norway and Denmark does not have a problem with a lack of funds

3·1 year agoLinux mint is a stable distro that I would recommend to beginners. Or maybe Nobara or Bazzite would be a good choice too. Use whatever distro you like most.
All you really would have to do after installing your distro is to install Steam and enable “Steam Play” in settings. It allows Windows games to run on Linux. Then you install Civilization V through Steam as normal and when installing Guild Wars 2 you can use Steam as well. Run the installer as a non-steam app and install it. Then run the game exe through Steam once it’s installed.
There should be good guides online (YouTube or Google) for installing Linux Mint alongside Windows.
Once you have your system installed feel free to let me know if you need help with Steam and getting the games running

4·1 year agoWhat makes it appealing imo is the immutable aspect. It makes it much harder to break which is what the average user needs. And Distrobox is now included by default which makes it possible to install whatever packages you need inside a container.

My problem is more with wet surfaces and the likes. Walking around the city it feels like every little water puddle is mirror and a spoon can also reflect way too much. I don’t mind shining chrome body parts.
