You understand that you can use CAD files to make custom internal components too, right? It’s not only for making skins or cosmetic surface changes.
You can 3D print an entire new shell for the controller but replacing the shell requires that you remove all of the components to then put them back in to the new shell. And that I would consider advanced. Not recommended for people that do not know what they are doing.
You don’t need to open the shell and access the internals if you are making a controller sweater and it wouldn’t void your warranty. That is not what Valve is warning about. They ask you to not fuck with the internals unless you know what you are doing.
And what would be the reason to open up the shell in the first place? To mess with the electronics inside. Which is only recommended to people that know what they are doing because of the risk to break it.

I have been waiting for this day since the launch of the original Steam Controller. The only problem I had with the old one is the missing second thumb stick, which won’t be a problem any more!

In California they require date of birth IIRC but some other state requires an age bracket. From a technical standpoint asking for an age bracket is removed. It requires maintenance and also actions from the user. How will the system know when you become an adult? Should I keep nagging you every year asking if you are now over 18? Give it a date of birth and it’s set and forget.
That said, I don’t like where we are headed with surveillance of citizens and I think it would be a lot better to handle date of birth on the websites you use rather than your whole operating system. It’s Metas responsibility to make sure their users are not underage. It’s not our responsibility.
If you haven’t seen it yet there is CachyOS if you want something Arch-based. I have been wanting to try it but for now I am still using vanilla Arch on my desktop and my laptop.

Yeah most people here can stay home if they are sick. You get 80% of your salary to start and then it gets lower the longer you are sick. The first 14 days are paid by the workplace and after 14 days the government takes over.

All ten were 65+ years, 7 of them was 80+ years.
I am not knowledgeable enought to know if this is a lot or not but it seems low to me. I have faith that my government would do something if the situation was bad.
Edit: Okey so they have stopped publishing weekly reports about covid and will only resume them if the epidemiological situation changes for the worse. Which is the right thing to do in my opinion.
I am not a vaccine sceptic but I am curious as to why America still vaccinates everyone for Covid. In Sweden we haven’t cared for many years about getting vaccinated and it hasn’t been a problem. The vaccine is available to get if you need it. But it’s not something we collectively vaccinate for any more.

I would go with Windows version and Proton. Native Linux builds of games could require different dependencies than what you have installed on your system.
