I did not use your guide as I do not need it, but if I did need it, it would be exactly the kind of thing I would be looking for.

Medicine@mander.xyz•Thousands of cancer patients in England to benefit from new immunotherapy jab
52·9 days agoIt’s very annoying that the anti-vax term “jab” has entered the common parlance.
I always hated his stupid comics that are just one layer away from “we sure do live in a society” or “if I rephrase this banal observation about a mundane phenomenon then perhaps it will make it funny or interesting” (it doesn’t)…
… but with this new knowledge, now my dislike can be justified!
Man I’m still playing MUDs.

Patient Gamers@sh.itjust.works•Weekly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing this week?
5·2 months agoVery old indeed but I’ve been on Carrion Fields a lot lately, revisiting old haubts, and it’s still as fun as I recall. Uniquely for a MUD they even released on Steam with a client package and everything.
In the past I took characters very seriously and any time I died (let alone faced down the inevitable permadeath), it was emotionally crippling. This time around I’m mature enough to see the silly and just have fun with it.
Reject modernity.
That title alone is just so cool. It sounds like the name of a sci-fi novel or something and then you realize it’s real life.
What is “British baby shower announcements”?

Really? I have to be the first to make this joke? I thought somebody else would have done it by now. And in a way more clever than this, I might add.

2·6 months agoI’ll be joining y’all around the end of the year when I build a new desktop.
Tired laptop is still on W10 and I haven’t touched Linux before. I have lots of data on it though and it’s still part of my regular workflow, so I want to just play it safe for now rather than switch OS.
… but if I can get Mint up and running and be comfortable with it on a new desktop I’ll do the same on the lappy.

This may come as a shock to anons who filter their entire existence through video games but literature does not need to operate according to rules of game balance.

If you were going to do this, wouldn’t it make more sense to have the solar panels draping down like chain mail?
In looking up historical examples of camel barding, I actually did not find much, but this is similar towhat I had envisioned.
Considering the dearth of actual examples, though, perhaps such raiment was not actually used.
