When I’m driving and I see a stray cat
And would elevating the most capable in the community help with that?
Mmm maybe i should work on it, perhaps through a hierarchical structure that works to organise people, bring out their best and simplify interactions with other communities?
Nothing makes me more skeptical of anarchism than being told I’d have to rely on my local community.
Me too but with Americans

Australian Politics@aussie.zone•A majority of Australians support banning pro-Palestine marches
6·11 days agoYeah very much agree. The Palestine protests, exist in protest to the government’s actions. The reason they occur is because our government isn’t doing anything. It’s important that they keep happening because nothing is being done. There’s precedent for broad sanctions to countries that blatantly ignore human rights and international law; here’s the ones we gave to Russia:
It’s hypocritical not to do the same for Israel.

12·11 days agoResolve is a polling agency conducted by the Sydney morning herald. Their polls supposedly ask “questions that differ between print and online versions,” as well as “mislead readers” and have “limited utility.” They seem to have a habit of asking questions in a way that prompts certain answers and often misrepresented data in their articles. I wouldn’t consider them particularly valuable as a source.

I do think that there is a significant portion of the Australian population fed up with the protests. Anecdotally I’ve heard complaints about specifically the Palestine protests from people I interact with though it mostly amounts to “why are they still doing it and interrupting my day to day, I feel it is pointless and annoying,” as opposed to wanting them outright banned.
Well I ain’t never asked a gorilla nothin neither

4·16 days agoYeah… Every measure to make houses more affordable has just been, we’ll give young home buyers more money. Which only increases house prices by whatever amount they decide on. Oh and how could I forget that it’s actually the fault of immigrants because Australia has never been able to affordably house an immigrant population.

2·16 days agoPeople don’t want to drive arbitrarily slower. Build roads that are uncomfortable to drive fast on. Counterintuitively making thin roads, without large runoffs can make driving safer because people feel more in danger and thus slow down.
