Android@lemdro.id•Oppo is building camera phones like the smartphone race never endedEnglish
1·29 days agoI would also put a case on a thicker phone, making it thicker too. I do think that having the phone be 50% bigger would annoy me, but it has been a while since I tried. I am currently using an iphone 13 because I like small (and thin) phones.

1·29 days agoI personally prefer thinner phones, as it makes it easier for me to reach every part of the screen and easier to put in my pockets. But it would be cool to see how such a phone would look.

Ukraine@sopuli.xyz•[Combat] A drone strike killed Russian collaborator Volodymyr Leontiev, head of the occupation council in Nova Kakhovka, Kherson Oblast, who ordered the abduction and torture of civilians.
14·8 months agoIn this case it’s absolutely deserved, but damn those drones are fucking scary.

Unpopular Opinion@lemmy.world•America's love with cars is founded on fear and selfishness
82·2 years agoI don’t think they meant the individuals are always selfish, more that the whole culture (and thus the lack of public transport) exists because of selfishness and fear.
Also in countries which are not as reliant on cars most people still have access to a car, they just use it less often.

2·2 years agoWe build this entire reddit alternative without interconnectivity with reddit, why couldn’t we do that again if threads decides to do that. People will be familiar with how lemmy works and there will be no ads here, so I don’t completely see a problem. Plus the format of lemmy is completely different from threads right?
