I’m still a babby programmer and I still haven’t graduated from “hello world” tier for most things, but I pretty got permission from this web development professor I was taking a class under that it’s almost normal to copy/paste code, even in the industry. So I feel less ashamed in doing so.

Which is good because I have made up my mind to finish my long abandoned CS degree, and eventually get a master’s in biotech specifically if I don’t find any other subgroup of coding I particularly like. Even if I don’t like my working life, I want to solve problems, dammit.

“Work giver” is fucking rich. For most of my life, porky has been limiting jobs and just outright refusing to hire anyone leaving so many people in a generation locked out of living all together because porky got so arbitrarily picky one day and never stopped.

If porky wants me to be a coder so badly, I’ll just learn to code.

Not to derail from OP but my life is in shambles, I have no friends. My degree is useless, rents are sky high and I’m working for next to free and I’m reliant on either employer provided housing or I’m stuck in my parent’s basement. I’m stuck in Texas and probably my best bet to finding friends at all is to go back to college for a STEM degree and look for a community somewhere.
