  • OMG I did the same thing at a local pub. Thinking steak sandwich. Ordered one up. Pretty good! Went home, went to bed. Three hours later - gurgle - glorp - oh shit! The rest of the night it was coming out both ends. Feel fine after some sleep. Forget all about it. Three weeks later, at the same pub. Thinking steak sandwich again. Pretty good! Went home, went to bed. Sure enough, three hours later, lather, rinse, repeat. Feel fine after some sleep. Forget all about it. Three weeks later, go to the same pub. Thinking steak sandwich again, third time’s the charm, right? My face when the pub had a sign up saying it was closed down for health code violations :/ To be fair, it was a good sandwich.

Cameras are pretty good at taking in light and giving a false representation of how you’d experience it if you were actually there. You see it at televised sporting events where it looks like twilight but they have to tell the viewers at home that it’s full dark there. I’d imagine at 10pm, his web cam was just doing a much better job seeing than a human eye could.

  • The issue was last fixed in November with a software update. Whatever it was doing was overheating the ICCU and blowing the fuse for the 12V battery charging system. Apparently they do the software update and check for the OBD2 code. If it is there, they replace the ICCU hardware even if the fuse has never blown. Mine came with the updated code, and has never been a problem. Is it really fixed? Hyundai seems to think so. Haven’t really heard complaints about this one in a while, so at the very least it seems the update has lowered the incidence rate.

  • I’m not sure those are supposed to be her memories, but rather that they represent her fears about her own future. Natsuko has writer’s block because she doesn’t think she can pull off a first love story, and thinks all of her ideas are crap and unrealistic because she has never been in love with anyone herself. Natsuko is the one wears her hair over her face, so it looks like she is projecting her doubts on her fans and coworkers, waiting for them all to blame her when her latest film flops and it turns out she isn’t the genius she is supposed to be. I think in her little Perishing dream world, she has been getting the perspective she needs to fill in her gaps as a writer. Definitely lots to speculate on how that front has been shaping up, so it should be interesting to see how it wraps up!

He may have been trying to install it on a potato or on something atypical. I struggled to get a clean Windows 10 install on a system with an old ASUS motherboard using its RAID controller and AHCI. Support didn’t seem to understand the problem, but they were a good sounding board while I figured it out over 3 evenings. By contrast, Windows 11 took all of 10 minutes to install with Rufus on a modern system. Sometimes you just end up with a system configuration that isn’t quite supported out of the box by a given OS, and it takes some third party drivers and some intermediary configurations to get things to load before you can get things working properly.

  • Citizenship is usually determined by where your parents have citizenship or where you were born. In Mexico, if the parent has citizenship, the kids can be nationalized. China could be harder though, if the Chinese parent was an American citizen. I have no idea how they’d treat it if that citizenship was revoked, but the kids wouldn’t normally be citizens if a Chinese parent acquired American citizenship and had the kids born as Americans. Normally countries don’t get into revoking citizenship because everyone has to have a country or last resort who is obligated to take them. Would be a rough situation to be stuck in. If you have money, you can buy citizenship in a lot of places though. Lots of EU countries allow that too.
