Found the answer myself. Protects against fungal attacks. Also birds don’t have the same receptors to capsaicin.

Does anyone have an explanation for why they would evolve to prevent being eaten by mammals? I would think having mammals help spread their seeds would be beneficial?
Whenever I try this my kid will go “dad, please stop talking” and go back to his Legos immediately. Guess I need to work on my teaching skills.

- Better overview when you back into a small parking space than backing out into the area where other cars are driving.
- Quicker to get out.
- Quicker in total.
