Eat a diet with hardly any fibre before you go. The last time I was bunged up for 4 days I had eaten a lot of meat and not enough veggies in comparison. It’ll either help, or you’ll just have a very big poop idk.

I would recommend lessening your fibre as a minimum if you must though!

My sympathies to you, (not that you need it but) it sounds like a really rough time! I don’t know if I’d have the energy to deal with adult tantrums when I have a migraine so I completely understand and don’t blame you for taking time for yourself now that you can.

The closest I’ve gotten to hair horror stories is trying to cut my own hair and getting the scissors tangled in them. I had to get another pair of sissors to cut them out.

Your poor wife! Maybe a nice hat, headscarf or a lacefront wig might work for her. The latter tends to look quite nice and natural when applied correctly. Her scalp might be a little bit sensitive to all of the sun we’re having so beware!
