I have a sister in law like this. She’s really cool and we generally get along but God damn is she hard to deal with sometimes.
There was one instance where it was our niece’s birthday and we had made this shitty balloon arch for pictures. When it came to the end of the party and we needed to break it all down, I knew that a bunch of the balloons had like confetti in them. She was helping with the breakdown, and I had dealt with these before so I was like “watch out for the confetti balloons, try to cut them open near the know and let the air out slow, and do it over a garbage can incase it pops. They will shoot confetti everywhere if they pop and it’s a pain in the ass to clean up” and she just turned at me with tho most vitriol “ARE YOU REALLY GOING TO MANSPLAIN TO ME HOW TO POP BALLOONS?!” and I was like “Okay jeez, was just trying to help”
Not two minute later I see her with a pin just popping the balloons off of the arch. Fucking confetti everywhere. I turned to my wife, who saw the exchange and I was like “yeah I’m not helping clean that up”
This is the same woman who screams about body shaming etc, and when she expressed interest in one of my friends who is Japanese said “He’s hot but it’s too bad he probably has a small dick”. Like… That’s racist AND body shaming.
We agree on a lot of things socially and politically, and like I said generally we get along, but she also complains very loudly about how she can’t keep relationships sustained and it’s like… Yo, all you do is vocally complain about how men are the source of all problems. But you also want to be with one?
Like, look… I’m all in support of feminism, but it should be about rising women up, not chopping men down. I didn’t choose to be born with a penis. Why am I automatically an enemy? I’m an ally.
Fuck.
I always got more of a middle-eastern vibe from Gerudo Valley. Their clothing has kind of a belly-dancer thing going.
An of course their logo was on the ammo crates for the nail gun. Because if you have an automatic nail gun, nine inch nails make the perfect ammo. You’re not going to kill shamblers with 23ga pin nails.
Yeah this is pretty forward on the Acid Bass, made famous by the TB-303. While that track doesn’t sound exactly like a 303, definitely reminiscent of it, and the 303 finds its way into a lot of industrial. This track is pretty cinematic, which fits it right into that “video game soundtrack” vibe that doesn’t exist much outside of games. I’m bored right now though, so I’m going to go down some rabbit holes and maybe find something for you to listen to. This type of music is right up my alley, so I might discover some new stuff to listen to myself.
Edit: check this shit: Celldweller - Soundtrack for the Voices in My Head
I think I might be moving in the wrong direction, but some of it is right.
I think that’s the best I can do without getting into some pretty avant garde indie SoundCloud stuff.

Oohh oh oh… Check out “The Algorithm”
I think that might be the closest to what you are looking for that I can think of. It’s a little metal on the drums, but it’s got way more synth lead stuff.
While a bit different from what your asking for, you should also check out Master Boot Record - it’s a bit more chip tune metal. It’s fun though
I think you were asking about the genre of music, and I don’t have an answer for you off the top of my head, but if you want to go on the journey of electronic music genres and sub genres and sub sub genres and learn about types of music and artists you might like, strap on your ear goggles and head on over to Ishkur’s guide to electronic music:https://music.ishkur.com/
I have lost hours of my life there before.
Edit: quick dive into Ishkur’s guide, and I think what you’re looking for is called “Aggrotech”
So like… MDFMK maybe?
I dunno… According to this, Gerudo Valley should have a sitar and zurna flute, but instead the flamenco jam comes in hot with the Spanish guitar and trumpet.
To add on to what everybody else said, it’s probably not worth the time/money to have a team of developers play cat and mouse with pirates for the rest of time when they make the large majority of their sales off OEMs. Dell, HP, and Lenovo probably make up something like 80% of Windows license sales. And if it’s a business buying them, then they are also making money off of M365, Azure, and Intune subscriptions. Losing the sales from people who build their own PCs is chump change to them.
You know, and all the data slurping and ad sales etc etc.
I didn’t realize for way too long that the song “Ironic” had no actual examples of irony in it, and that in itself is ironic. Blew my mind.

16·4 months agoCompletely agree, but I think with Goode and Pretti it gave our team a good hand to play. Like, “hey, all you All Lives Matter people. Where ya at?” and with Pretti specifically, it’s like “Hey, all you 2A folk. Where the fuck ya at?”
I’ve been outraged and outspoken since the beginning, but these two incidents are really heavy hitting cards to play in order to expose hypocritical fascists. Not that it actually matters because these people are brainwashed mental gymists. But I like to think it at least puts cracks in their foundation. It’s caused some amount of infighting, so that’s a step in the right direction.
Interesting. There’s also no penguins in the arctic. But there are penguins in Antarctica. I wonder if the was penguins in the north originally, but the bears ate them all. And the only reason the continue to exist in Antarctica is because there aren’t bears to eat them.

Android@lemdro.id•PSA: Nova Launcher added Facebook and Google Ads trackingEnglish
6·5 months agoI’ve been using Nova launcher for just as long, and finally got off of it in November. First it was no updates, then whispers of ad injections, and now the ads are actually here.
With that said, I tried Lawnchair, and found it to be clunky, unintuitive, and either lacking the features that I wanted or I couldn’t find them.
I ended up going with Smart Launcher, which has been a fantastic replacement. It’s got everything that Nova Launcher has and more, and it’s very easy to use.
This was the type of information I was looking for, no need to apologize for being rambly. I’m going to look into these games and use them to weight my decision. Of course this all kind of hinges on the price of the frame. If the price point is right, it might be the platform that finally gets me to buy into VR, but I’m still very skeptical.
Honestly, one of main motivators is throwing money at things that use Arm arch for gaming. It’s clearly the future and Apple silicon has forced the hand of a lot of developers to make business apps for Arm. But the steam frame feels like the first thing to make gaming on Arm mainstream. Baby steps, right? If the frame drums up enough development for games running natively on Arm, then maybe the next steam deck will be arm, and it will be super fucking awesome. Valve has spoken about not wanting to make a Steamdeck 2 until there is a “generational” leap. Arm arch would do that. It just needs people to develop for it (without using amd64 emulation)
Yeah but what are some good VR games? This is the part I am having a hard time justifying. I never hear about good VR games. Beatsaber? Super Hot? Like… I love the Steamdeck because there is a plethora of 10/10 indie games that run awesome on it. It feels to me like the VR game library is very lacking in that sense. Like are there “Must play - 10/10” games that are VR only? What is the “Hollow Knight” of VR?
