IMAX 70mm if you can, but if there are no theatres in your area that do that then I would go 70mm.
I did a Mission Impossible review thread previously and was using the same template I made, Please refresh. I believe I fixed this now. Sorry about that! One guy doing this by hand
EDIT: Realizing how different instances might update at different times. Will try to be more careful about this in the future. Definitely a learning experience
More reviews coming! updating as quickly as I can

Movies and TV Shows@lemmy.film•Actors join writer strike: first tandem strike in Hollywood since 1960
36·3 years agoIt’s important to know what side the source is on for anything but right now for the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike do know that major publications Variety, Deadline, and the Hollywood Reporter are all owned by a member of the AMPTP.
What got me was the accent he is using. It seems to keep switching all depending on the dialogue he is giving, which I found kind of distracting but maybe it’ll be better in the actual film? Who knows, I do think he is a talented actor and I really loved the first two Paddington movies so maybe this will turn out.
You’re absolutely correct. This version of Wonka is played by Timothy Chalemet.
I’d recommend looking for a used Herman Miller Aeron. They are super comfortable, offer fantastic back support and many businesses buy a bunch of them up and eventually sell them so you can find some pretty sweet deals instead of the $1400+ USD they are to get them new.
I think I paid $500 for a used one that was in excellent shape. It’s a chair that’s been around for a long time so aftermarket parts are easy to come buy if you ever need them. I swapped out the wheels on mine for roller blade wheels and couldn’t be happier.

Moving to: m/AskMbin!@kbin.social•Kbin: What is your favourite (or least favourite) horror film?
2·3 years agoMan I’m really happy you enjoyed Skinamarink. I heard the buzz about it and the fear that it instilled in some so I gave it a shot as it sounded really interesting and unfortunately I just couldn’t get into it. Perhaps I just wasn’t in the right frame of mind but I really wanted to be transported back to that fear of the unknown when you were a kid but it didn’t give me that and I really wasn’t into it enough to finish it. Happy for the filmmakers though and I look forward to what they do next.

Movies and TV Shows@lemmy.film•Killers of the Flower Moon — Official Trailer
1·3 years agoI usually avoid trailers after the first official trailer due to this but even sometimes the first trailer can spoil a bit. I got too enthralled in watching it that I couldn’t stop, but I found this one kept the mystery and didn’t show too much in my opinion. Although I’m not familiar enough with the source material to know otherwise

If you enjoy Kbin and want to support Ernest you can buy him a coffee at:
I think with the current server for our instance notifications are a bit delayed but Ernest is working on getting us to a new server that should help with notifications and the overall amount of traffic.

Moving to: m/AskMbin!@kbin.social•Is anyone using Google search less than before?
1·3 years agoI’ve been trying a few different alternatives namely Qwant and Startpage. I find Qwant to be the quickest of those two and have been using it most often. Trying to get away from the google ecosystem as much as possible, searches are getting bogged down even with an adblocker.

3·3 years agoI could be wrong, but I don’t recall there being an only online requirement for Starfield. Up to now the communication has been that there is no online component and that it’s only single player which makes this announcement even more disheartening.

PC Gaming@kbin.social•BattleBit Remastered is dominating Steam because there's no catch: it's just a lot of game for $15
4·3 years agoI personally feel like the “no-microtransactions” label is still accurate despite these inclusions. It’s free to link your twitch to your battlebit account and watch some streams for the drops if you really want the purple skins.
The supporter pack is really just some skins to say thanks to anybody who wants to throw some extra money to the developers. The game already has a really low cost of entry anyway so I see no issue with this.
With you not being able to pick up weapons off the ground, I’ll be honest I haven’t really noticed the skins that anybody else has. Seems to really just be for you and you alone.

I really appreciate it! Thank you
