  • ITV news coverage of this was disgusting, IIRC they were fearmongering and calling it another case of increasingly more common anti-semitic attacks on jews as well as terrorism. Even just the tone of voice by the newsreader was awful to listen to because if a Zionist stabbed two Arab muslims instead, it likely wouldn’t even be covered by them, if it was the attacker would be considered a rogue, crazy individual and not at all linked to any kind of ideology or particular prejudice.

I feel sorry for the victims and they shouldn’t be used as pawns in this grander Zionist narrative but I just wanted to point out this insane bias and unequal coverage.

  • For what it’s worth, you are in the right here. AI is not inherently bad, it is the existence of capitalism which makes it be used for exploitation.

Under socialism, it would be utilised for the benefit of society, and if AI can exist, it will inevitably exist therefore anyone who talks of eridicating AI is promoting silly utopic ideas. I’d prefer for it to be strictly limited to minimalising annoying, monotonous labour and service industies including of course, assisting the disabled.

However I will say you’ll have an easier time convcining others of this if you argue your point without insults, as they are less likely to listen if you do. I’m actually curious, if you don’t mind disclosing that is, what do you use AI for in regards to helping you with your disability?

  • Hi, so I just remembered this comment and thought I’d let you know I’m 99% sure I will be applying to join ‘Plaid Gomiwnyddol Cymru’: https://communists.wales/

Just going to go to one last meeting of CPB this month and then move on. Even though Plaid Gomiwnyddol Cymru are a Welsh focused party they seem to actually be active, serious and not reactionary, potentially a little ultra lefty (I could be wrong, there isn’t much info on them really) but they’re definitely much better than CPB on policy and worth supporting. At least I should get a lot of experience out of them and feel more comfortable without TERF’s and other twats around.

Also worth mentioning that I checked out NCP - New Communist party of Britain: https://www.newworker.org/index.html | and Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist): https://www.rcpbml.org.uk/ | they’re small but do seem to be an improvement and reasonable alternative to the bigger ones, feel free to check them out. Even if you join, or see something about them and they’re shit, you can cross them off the list of options.

If you stick without a party, I’ve realised that there are so many other organisations which hold events that can still be a ways to bridge across to all sorts of organising and making connections to like-minded people like, as someone else here mentioned, the Cuba Solidarity Campaign for example. We’re still in early days but things are for sure picking up. Best of luck to you.

  • I completely agree and relate to this to the point to where it feels uncanny, like as if I just read my own words. Past couple of months have been visually miserable and that does have an effect on mental health - Wake up, grey, midday, grey, barely existent sun goes down before you’ve even woken up properly.

And now the sun returns and it comes with bloody headaches and earaches and a dry throat. Earth, why do you make me suffer like this?
