Good for you, but yeah… I need lots of adjustment to this instrument.

Good job. Also, the fact that they couldn’t just, idk, play one of his past performances and using that for the final instead of pretending he never even existed is a bit weird.

Not really a thing a own, but definitely something I encounter a lot. It’s an instrument you often hear in classical music, and sometimes ballads, and even rock tracks. A lot of the ancient cartoons used it as well. It scared me as a kid, and I still feel physically uncomfortable every time I hear it.
It’s called a timpano, plural: timpani. It doesn’t really elevate a track at all for me, it just makes it more frightening.

I’ve never touched alcohol in my life outside of cleaning purposes (I mean isopropyl alcohol, or as I like to call it, icy prope). And to be honest, you’ve convinced me to remain teetotal.
However, I always have the feeling I wanted to try out some drinks just for that taste but can’t because it’s got some of that الكحول in it. And there are very few non-alcoholic alternatives for these drinks. The only one I’ve tried is a virgin mojito (in my country it’s sometimes referred to as just “mojito” because it’s the only one we know). And honestly, it tastes great. And then there’s the fact that I can’t make my own vanilla extract. You need ethanol for that, and I just have this fear of putting it in my body because I don’t wanna get addicted to it.
I’ve always treated alcohol like drugs and tobacco. They feel fun, and you want more, but it will knock you out when you least expect it.

Dip them in bread. Not common for you guys, but I like it.

“An iPod, a phone, and an internet communications device.”
That quote never gets old.

What better way to demonstrate international simultaneous television broadcasting than with an annual song competition? It’s quite literally the only reason why I turn on my telly anymore.
The only thing I hate about it is the fact that it can get quite political, and it certainly results in often very depressing controversy. Last year was a prime example of this.
But still, the tech behind it was and continues to be just so cool. Thanks, Switzerland.

In spelling, V comes before R. But in pronounciation, it’s the other way round. Weird.
I always said “ore-doovers” or even just “hors d"oeuvres” like in French. That’s always how it sounded to me.

I heard they removed the ability to transfer audio to the AirPods Max through USB-C, when it actually worked with the Lightning model. I have absolutely no idea why they felt the need to completely get rid of wired AirPods Max usage, it felt kinda cool to pair it with an old iPod (most don’t even have Bluetooth. The ones that don’t are: all Classic models, Nano models before the 7th gen, all Shuffle models, all Mini models, and the 1st gen Touch).

Now I’m actually glad I’m stuck on Android 13.
If your wife is a living sandwich, then… PLEASE don’t eat her, unless you have a cloning machine and wanna eat the clone or something.

I guess dual-booting is still a necessity for some of us, unless you have a single hard drive and your Windows installation decides to randomly break.

Good job

The Steam Deck is trying to make Linux gaming more hassle-free, but it’s not like we’ve reached that stage yet. Still, we’re taking steps.

I’m a recent Mint user as well. The transition felt pretty seamless so far.

Good luck. It has certainly helped me.
I’ll take that into consideration.
My current phone is a Samsung Galaxy A32, the last in the A3x line that has one. It’s really nice to have a headphone jack because… well, you plug your pair in, and it just works. You don’t have to worry about Bluetooth connections, or another battery that will die one day that you constantly have to recharge. Also, you get FM radio functionality on your phone, which isn’t really useful, but it’s pretty fun to mess with. I’m surprised Apple never had it on the iPod Touch despite the Nano and Classic both having it (some with a special accessory that unlocks the feature, some have it built in).
Also, support for my phone ends on Android 13 (One UI 5.1), meaning if I want new features (or even emoji updates), I have to get a newer phone, and that means either getting a lower tier model to keep that headphone jack at the cost of performance, or getting the same tier (or higher) at the cost of the jack. And I was never convinced by other Android phone manufacturers either, especially since companies like OnePlus don’t sell their products in my country, so my options are either Samsung, Google, or a whole bunch of Chinese companies, many have really terrible skins of Android. Either that or I get an iPhone, and none of the ones that are currently supported have the headphone jack. So I guess I’m sticking with my A32 until the day it nukes itself.
