Not only was this a really bad movie (the Dwarfs!?!) but they also cast an outspoken pro-genocide actor as the evil queen (fitting.) Way to go Disney!
ARRRRHHH!!!

I agree with your point about it inspiring …better film making and originality, that is sorely needed. However, to see a film doesn’t mean getting back into the theater, especially since theaters started dying/declining even before COVID, dating back in the early 2000’s. Great films aren’t going to save movie houses. Streaming took away all the downsides of seeing a film; cost, audience annoyances, bad food and travel time to see one. They will still be around, like drive-in theaters were for film buffs and nostalgia.

OMG, that is funny. Yeah, when they do this sort of camera one take style with drama series, it works.

It was a really well done movie, interweaving a main story with interesting characters, interweaving time periods, an homage to blues and some blue’s heroes, and at the heart lies a classic horror genre made fresh. This one took me by surprise. I plan on watching it a second time, just to recapture its essence again.
Now with that said, did it really rescue the film industry? I say no. One great one amongst a flow of mediocre movies you would wait and see at home, does not save the day or the movie theaters.

It is a good series, well written and the camera style, which is a lot like ‘The Bear’, really puts you in the drama. Very well acted, the kid should win all kinds of awards. It wasn’t what I thought it was going to be, which was a detective style show/series, oh no. It was snapshot of a something tragic in a family…and you are right there with them.

It is about time. I use Waterfox because of their global menu support. Lets hope they bring this to Thunderbird next.

One of my favorite series. Netflix’s tagline should be, ‘We Cancel, Because We Can!’

So, they had one of the WORST memorial day weekends in history last year. I guess it is a wash? Good luck with that, they are burning through what little capital they have until the bank notes come due in 2026. Then we will see how they stand financially. Are those the bells sounding bankruptcy?

LOL, I like the Gosling, he has a sarcastic tone about his performances. Probably won’t go to the theater to see it, but it will be a popcorn fest on the couch.

Because they plan to restart the whole enchilada, so I am guessing they expect 7 seasons.

Some of his earlier work was …questionable, but I love his movies and series. I think the studio execs got in his way, as with a lot of good directors. I look forward to more of his offerings.

I call CASH GRAB!

Yes, agree. Star Trek Discovery turned into the most mind numbing soap opera as each season progressed, to the point it had nothing really to do with the Star Trek genre. It should have been re-titled ‘As The Worlds Turn.’

Well, when you remove one of the fan favorites…🤷♂️. Also, the second season has been very dramatic and emotional, some good writing there, but it is slowing turning into the soap opera drama effect that Walking Dead suffered from after season one. Little monsters, more drama = soap opera.
Not just LA, but CA as a whole. It is too expensive, filled with red tape and financial waste. I think at this point, it is a lost cause, much like our gov’t. Too many hands at play digging into the money to ever over-change the system. CA is no different, maybe the worst of the example. Hollywood is dead. They are starting to film in other states, like TX, even NY is cheaper.

Welcome to CAL-E-YOUCANTAFFORDIT. Everything is expensive here, but we got beaches.

A gaggle of gas bags.
OMG, I am so excited for this. 🥚
