Epic lost their case with Apple regarding Fortnite, yet now Epic are looking to make Fortnite available on iOS in EU. But from the article it seems an alternate “app marketplace” would still need Apple approval anyway. It will be interesting to see how all this is going to work.

In Australia we just put the price up exponentially each year so that eventually noone will be able to afford them except the very richest in the country. I stopped smoking on 1/1/2020 when it was already over $1 per cigarette. It’s considerably more expensive now … I think about $30 for a pack of 20s. That’s why my friend never has any dosh and is always borrowing money from ppl.

It would appear her empathy for others was clearly lacking. Why should anyone treat her better than her very own example?

The aggressive sales tactics of the charity representatives at those little pop-ups at the supermarket and plazas are a bit shady as well, IMO. I usually manage to avoid them but the few times I have been stopped, it’s never a pleasant/easy experience to get away. They are trained to sell this way, and I understand they need the donations, but it never leaves me with a feeling of respect for the charity they represent.

I cant afford to make monthly donations but sometimes I would like the option to drop a cash donation in a tin, or to make a one-off merch purchase. Unfortunately neither of these things are ever an option these days, so instead we get the hard sell and are left with a bad taste in the mouth.

When I first opened the canvas I don’t believe your Australian flag was there. I went on to make a Fortnite F, then expanded to the whole logo, and finally a lovely heart. Yes, I know that’s all very cringe but I don’t care. When I woke the next day I was surprised to discover that my art had still not been attacked, so I began a Project Zomboid Logo. Eventually I noticed the formation of your flag but I already had received a notice that the canvas would be closing in 24 hours.

I’m sorry, I think your flag was ambitious, but I don’t see it getting completed. I really wanted us to have some representation, and I’m also jealous of New Zealand as their flag is schmick. My son and I decided to create some token Australian Flags near my other artwork (as it started to get attacked and I needed to keep an eye on it.) If you want to help with protection, or even expansion, you can find those (significantly smaller) flags at 115, 466 on the canvas. You can also talk to me thru Place Australia on Discord in the #post-place channel.

Yes. I got a package from Amazon US a week or so after this post and it had that written on it. I pulled it apart to investigate but the padding was not plastic bubbles like the ones in my OP photo. So it must be some sort of corn stuff that can be recycled, but unfortunately I’ve never had Australian Amazon packages in that recyclable padded packaging. We have a stiff cardboard bag that can be recycled but it’s only single layer. My groceries did not even require padded packaging though!
