112·2 years agoThat’s why I hate that they started to call them artificial intelligence. There is nothing intelligent in them at all. They work on probability based on a shit ton of data, that’s all. That’s not intelligence, that’s basically brute force. But there is no going back at this point, I know.
Or who simply communicated with more comics in the comments, like SrGrafo.
3810·2 years agoOkay, thank you. Anyway: is here somebody who actually knows WHY this happened? What was the underlying cause for our ansestors to start using it? What were they trying to achieve or solve? (UNINTENTIONALLY, okay, we got it.)

2·2 years agoOh, a D6x0. 620 was my first ever company laptop! I loved it. Easily swappable cd-rom, you could change it to an additional 4cell battery. Combined with a 9 cell one it lasted basically the whole work day.

Exactly. I see an insane amount of job postings for my particular field in IT and people are changing jobs left and right in my circle. Which is also anecdotal, so there is that.
