Hmm. It can’t be a coincidence that this happens right as my Vader 3 Pro starts having issues.

I’m playing Haiku the Robot right now and loving it. It was developed in Estonia.

Final Fantasy XII. I played it at launch and loved it. Spent 120 hours with it and beat every boss except for the one ridiculously hard fight.
Either it or I haven’t aged very well. I’m 60 hours in and have to push myself to play it. I might just move onto something else or beeline the story and stop with the side content and call this one misguided nostalgia.

You see a few of them here-and-there in Korea these days. They’re extra infuriating here because they don’t fit in most parking spaces and they’ll straight-up turn a lot of two-way roads into one-way. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one with something in the bed. Purely for show.

I’m five videos deep, now. Thanks! It’s weirdly super refreshing to watch something other than Serral bodying everyone.
You ever watch any bot matches? Tens-of-thousands of APM. They’re pretty entertaining too.

This is wild. I watch a ton of professional Starcraft on YouTube and had no idea! I’ll look up some matches, tonight.
I will search that! Sounds cool. Why are there no giant mud dauber horror movies I wonder?
That’s cool. Mud daubers are extremely chill and will only sting you as an absolutely last resort. They also are great at keeping the spider population down. Which I’m a little torn on because I love spiders since they eat mosquitoes, and mosquitoes can fuck off and die afaic.

Honestly, I don’t remember the story of XII very well. It’s been almost twenty years since I played it, and I’m only ~15 hours in, now. The best thing I can say about it is that it’s not the pandering nonsense of the XIII games. Which is a huge relief. Really though, the plots of FF have always been a bit nonsense, but at least adhered to some kind of internal logic. FFXIII and its sequels just didn’t even try to be coherent.
The combat in all of them is fantastic, though. Particularly Lightning Returns. Such a unique, challenging, and fun combat system in the most incomprehensibly insane story of any FF.

Final Fantasy XII. It runs and looks great at 720p, 60Hz. It’s the last Final Fantasy I really enjoyed. I finished all three XIII games out of some misguided loyalty to the franchise, but I hated almost everything about them, and I haven’t played an FF game since.
XII is about as good as I remember so far. The plot isn’t the utter nonsense of the XIII games, and the combat is really deep. I’ve never played the Zodiac Age version, either, so at least part of the game is new to me. Not that I remember much since the last time I played it was a month before its initial release in 2006 when it leaked and got torrented. Wild times.

Haha! Highly recommended! This is the version I bought when it first came out, and it’s still going strong. Battery life is pretty bunk, though.
Haha! Thanks for the cuberule. That was a great read!
You mean a bench?
Looks great!

I loved the first act. Acts 2 and 3 took a bit of a nosedive mechanically, I thought. It was very easy to break the game and just have some game-busting card combo that carried you through all the fights. I don’t think I lost a single encounter in the third act. Still, it was super cool overall. Lots of interesting ideas.
I used to argue this stuff online. I had to quit for my sanity. If anyone wants a sample of the absolute insane beliefs and the staggering amount of handwaving these people are capable of, I suggest checking out evolutionfairytale.com. They will unironically claim to be objective, then a sentence later tell you that “proper science literature” is to be discredited because it has a pro-evolution bias. 🤣

Battleblock Theater and Noita, but I’m having trouble with controller support for the latter. It doesn’t seem to work on Steam Deck when it’s docked.
I’m so special!
