  • Not to mention, the way things are shaping up the next election is quite possibly going to be Reform/Tories vs Labour/Greens/Lib Dems with the exact match up changing depending where abouts in England you are (Wales and Scotland are less messy). It would be bizare to suggest that if you live in a Labour/Reform seat that doing anything but voting for Labour would be your best option if you want to return to the EU.

Of course there will be places where it is a Labour/Greens or Labour/Lib Dem fight, in which case by all means if relations with the EU are your number one concern voting for another party makes sense.

  • Socialism is not just about bringing the means of production into state ownership, but about adhering to a set of egalitarian principles that emphasize solidarity, erode class distinctions, and build the public sector and public assets, making our country work for everyone and not for the profits of large corporations. Fixing potholes may not be “socialist,” but Mamdani’s aggressive effort to escalate small infrastructure fixes is part of a much broader plan to restore faith in the public sector’s ability to get things done.

    Bravo!
