Actions speak louder than words. Fuck Substack and fuck any platform that offers a safe haven for nazis.

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•I got this popup ad on my TV **while watching a DVD**English
8·2 years agoSo the only way to opt out of this hell is to kill your internet connection?
No. It’s actually simple to disable. On the Roku TV just go to:
Settings > Privacy > Select Smart TV Experience and disable “Use Info from TV Inputs”

Technology@lemmy.world•Scammers Are Tricking Anti-Vaxxers Into Buying Bogus Medical DocumentsEnglish
171·2 years agoI can see how plague rats would be a uniquely ideal demographic for scammers. They’re incredibly stupid and very loud about it. They probably don’t even have to try very hard to find these marks. So zero sympathy for them. I feel terrible for the medical professionals that are being impersonated to commit these crimes though. That can seriously impact their careers and reputations through no fault of their own. I can only imagine how awful that must be.

0·2 years agoInstead of being an ass, why don’t you explain how this is in any shape or form a useful time capsule?
No. I never made that claim so I have no obligation to defend it to some random dipshit on the internet.

25·2 years agoMuskrats are always the least informed people in the room when it concerns Elon Musk. It’d be a lot funnier if it weren’t so damn easy to find the actual facts. There’s really no excusing it, they’re just willfully ignorant.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What are the best features of Lemmy that aren't available in Reddit?English
22·2 years agoI still remember how annoyed I was when reddit disabled that. It was a useful data point, especially in hobby communities or other places where it can be difficult for newbies to judge the quality of advice/answers they’re receiving so I was thrilled to see it here on Lemmy. Going by upvotes alone is not always showing you an accurate picture of a community’s reaction to a comment.
