I’ve been at it for two days without researching and I can’t figure out how to “hand over” the updates of the history array from within my “new pin” function to the main() function. I have to learn about scopes. Good fun!

“Slapped” 🤣 I think I forgot to remove the getchars after having used scanf, I had learned here. As you said, to clean up the input buffer.
I had JUST written down in my TODO list to make a function of it! 😁
Thank you so much! 😊

Sweet! I’ll check it out! 😊

Ah, gotcha! Thanks!

Ah, forgot about those. Thanks! On Linux, I read man pages all the time. Need adopt that same rutine.
Regarding getchar() returning the ASCII code of the input, I commented this is the OP:
getchar()will return the ASCII value of chars and ints if I use the format specifier%d.

Thanks! Ultimately, down the road, I want to try Assembly and then those languages that give CPUs instruction sets. I am interested in the borders where readable code turns into binary. I just chose C to begin with because I was influenced by Linux and a colleague who used to work with C many years ago.

Woa! Thank you so much for using my embarassingly amateurish program to exemplify! This was really easy to read and understand! I’ll play around with this for a while! :)

Thank you for the examples, the explanation and the FANTASTIC extra concepts! This’ll keep me busy for some time! :)

Awww I fucked up. Thanks!

If people in the 1990’s only knew how much personal and sensitive data those desktop UIs collected unbeknownst to the common end user with the purpose of profiting off of it by selling all that aggregated data to honorable businessmen who in turn would hand it over to totalitarian regimes and other cyber criminals. Oh boi.

Just installed and tried out Echoes of the End. After having played extremely story driven titles - like the two Horizon games - I just couldn’t learn to love this one. Which is weird, since I LOVED Nier:Automata, for instance.
On another note, this week, I also installed and beat three times, MiSide. I’m absolutely in love. What is wrong with me. 🤣
On yet another note, anybody going to this: https://www.musicofsquareenix.com/tour
Thanks for the pointers. 😝
Oh, I just meant that I’m experimenting, evaluating and thinking instead of “just” searching for a straight answer on the world wide web.
Edit: Also meaning, that when I post a question here, I have already writhen (spelling?) in pain for a few hours or a day without getting anywhere.
