  • I’ve yet to ride a carbon frame for any amount of real distance, so idk how good they actually are.

But having a less harsh ride can also be archived by not using the thinnest pizza cutter tires at 10 bar. Especially if we care about time ridden and not avg. speed.

And it’s going to be slightly harder to get the same speed out of comfy tires, so that’s also more exercise.

  • This 100% I’m the computer person in my social circles, and my head sometimes starts to hurt from reading less than ideal documentation. Granted those are usually for pretty involved stuff, but it’s pretty frustrating spending hours to chew through and not getting an answer after all.

I’d imagine it’s worse for people whose PC is not a hobby but a tool. You shouldn’t need to spend a lot of time and effort on a tool just to get it working right. That might be fine for a used bargain tool, but you don’t replace like half the world’s OS’s with a used bargain tool. That’s not what people want or need.

  • Neither sure how to call it, nor is it a technology, more like a mindset. I am just gonna name it: “Prideful Craftsmanship”

Basically the incorporation of “useless” decorations and embellishments, to show off ones skill and maybe market oneself a little. Definitely superseded in the capitalist world. Things were just prettier or more interesting to look at, even stuff that wasn’t meant to be flashy.

But with nearly everything being made to a price point, this practice has been somewhat lost.

You sent me down a little rabbit hole, depending on how one defines sedan, the lightest I could find is the Peel P50 at roughly 60 kg. A better fit weight wise could be the Isetta at roughly 350 kg.

But neither option, including the robin feels like a proper sedan to me, and only the robin really checks the basic requirements.

Afaik the term “sedan” doesn’t really define the amount of wheels, but I don’t tend to think of a three wheeled vehicle.

So the first four wheeled sedan style car that came to mind was the Trabant, but that’s still 600kg.

Idk what the point of this text is…

Have a nice day, I guess?
