I’ll reply to the two last bits:

1. Notice how it’s specifically about activists, not all trans people. As far as I’m aware she has not expressed hate for trans people.
2. I think she was discussing Kier Starmer’s statement on the matter. There are two sides to “The Great Replacement Theory.” One is factual, and supported by people such as Starmer, and one is an antisemitic theory. She was talking about the former. That’s not racism.

I’m not going to dispute point-for-point; I exclusively post from my phone and it would be too much work. An example would be taking a clip out of context, i.e. a vtuber talking about someone else’s talking points, and portraying it as though they are the vtuber’s opinions.

Gamergate? I don’t really care.

I’ll post my comment from another thread on the same subject: I have very little respect for Valens’ writing after seeing articles spreading lies and essentially striking out at a vtuber company for being rejected by them. Vice is crap, but Valens is no better.

If you’re specifically talking about The Crew, you’re missing the point. If you’re being flippant, and mean online games in general, God forbid people take an interest in the health of their hobbies.

When I got banned from online play on the Switch for using homebrew I stopped paying them for games on the platform. A lot of people are former pirates, and they’ll only accept so much before they decide the grass was greener.

Very rarely would I be willing to spend 60 on a game. They’re not getting 80 out of me unless they blow me while I play.

You just aren’t perceiving the issues that are there. SH2 stutters. That’s a fact.

Bioware has been circling the drain for years, and it’s clear the people who made it special have long since left. If I worked there, I would have already been looking for employment elsewhere because this isn’t going to last.

If you’re using sonarr and radarr, which is definitely not what most pirates are doing, piracy is the most convenient by leagues. You get everything under one service and it automatically shows up as soon as it’s available in the quality you’ve specified interest in.

A decent example of a bad d-pad would be the Switch Pro Controller. Unless they’ve fixed it in a later revision, the controller has an issue with outputting diagonals when they aren’t intended.

Oh, that is a fox. I couldn’t differentiate between the white and cream under current viewing conditions, and I thought it was a seahorse.

I only launched it for long enough to tell it isn’t for me just yet. My dealbreakers are:

• Inability to quickly swap between audiobook and podcast libraries, or better yet; displaying both on one home screen.
• Audiobooks are thrown at you in one big pile. Ideally they would be organized, and not all shown at once unless you dig into it.

I’m definitely checking it out again at some point, but I’m sticking with the official app for now.

FF7 Remake. I tried a “demo” and have been waiting for a sale. It’s still more than I’d like to spend on the game, but I want to go back and continue my saved game.

It’s an ongoing process.

There usually aren’t many complaints of something being woke if the product is actually good. I think the main takeaway is that nobody wants to be lectured, and told they are wrong for having a different opinion, and amateurish writing can easily come across as preachy or being a self-insert.

True, but even through Steam, you’re still dealing with Ubi’s launcher and Denuvo, so it’s just adding another layer on top.

I wanted to play this, but not enough to interact with their launcher and Denuvo.

Might be hit or miss. On Kubuntu it wigged out on me often enough that I needed to make a shortcut to restart Plasma, but so far it’s been stable on OpenSUSE Tumbleweed.

I agree, I would never subscribe to such a specific community, and the decentralization, to my eye, leads to less user engagement; if one of these link posts doesn’t have comments, I’m less inclined to even click on it in the first place.
