Beautiful! I love the moss stitch, it’s very easy to get into a groove with and has a really nice texture as a result.
If you’re worried about the increase/decrease being noticeable, I’d recommend a border! The more elaborate, the more it’ll disguise any defect (so limited results from a single stitch border and better results with scalloped for instance). But also don’t forget, you always have to have at least one error in your work or else you’ll trap your soul in it 😉

Not to defend the US on pretty much anything, but there’s basically tiers of chocolate. Low quality mass produced chocolate (hershey’s, kit kat, etc) is almost always waxy, overly sweet, and sometimes has that weird butyric acid additive. Mid tier is like your Ghirardelli: popular nationally but more expensive than your low tier chocolate, still often quite sweet but you can at least get dark chocolate. High tier is usually regional artisan chocolate. I like Theo in the PNW but I think that’s going national lately.
All of this is NOT a recommendation to buy these chocolates of course. Go get Tony’s Chocolonely if you can find it.

Notch also fuckin’ sucks, but a broken clock and all that

Fields of Mystria is a Stardew-like that plays excellently on the steam deck!

This post is less than half an hour old, can you let people see it first before complaining of silence?

It’s been several years, but I’ve received something similar from UHC, maybe only a few sentences shorter. This reads to me like the same bs put through an LLM.
I did get them to cover their denied service, btw, after faxing over the world’s thinnest-disguised pissy letter of contest to their decision. I’m not an easy person to anger but let me tell you, I saw red when I got that denial.

Are you sure they are intending it in a diminutive sense and not a familiar or affectionate sense? Buddy is pretty common to call people you are being friendly with in American English at least. If you don’t like a nickname or term of endearment, you can tell your friends not to use it, but fair warning, friends of your age might just tease you about it instead of respecting your wishes.

Bad news there, Adams won on a ranked choice primary (NYC’s first I believe). I think there are bigger issues at play with corruption and campaign spending here. Also the NYC challenge, don’t pick a total dick head for mayor, impossible edition.

Not anymore, we’re doing HOT TO GO now!

Definitely not expecting you alone to solve this issue! I am speaking generally to anyone reading to be aware of the tangible effects of these policy decisions on actual people who, under even pretty strict definitions, didn’t do anything wrong.
The solution to feeling powerless as an individual, btw, is to find like-minded people and organize! In 2017 people came together to stop ICE agents in airports, on Greyhound busses, and more. No one is asking folks to be John Wick.

Just a reminder to folks who are sympathizing but hesitant, DACA are people brought over as minors. They did not have any decision making in coming here legally or not and largely haven’t grown up outside the US. They are Americans, plain and simple. Regardless of the legal system at play here, morally and ethically they belong in their home in the US. We need to fight the idea of deportation being acceptable here (and broadly as well). Please stand up for your neighbors!

In addition to what everyone else has said so far, even if some doctors are doing this, they are probably keeping quiet about it. You and I outside of Texas will never know if anyone is violating this law until someone sues. My guess is that 3 deaths in 2 years is either vastly under reported, or there are doctors who are toeing the line of this law more closely than others.

I think a lot of ordinary people on the left in America have learned from the first term that being glued to the news cycle does nothing but harm your mental health. Trump is going to do and say outrageous things, but ruminating on them only serves as a demotivator- unless you live in a place with a senator on the border about an issue or appointment, you really don’t have any power to prevent a Matt Gatez appointment or whatever. The outrage machine of corporate media no longer serves as “being informed”. People who are worried are taking action in their community, building up local and remote contacts, and supporting those affected by these soon to be enacted policies proactively. Turning the TV off is a good thing for that.
Check in with your friends and family. Understand local and state politics and make sure you turn up there. Make plans for when things go south.

All you’re doing is telling other trans people that their gender recognition is conditionally valid only on their good behavior, and that it can be revoked if they piss you off. Maybe consider why this would make trans people feel unsafe with you, even if they are on your side politically.

Exactly, I don’t blame her for not wanting to escalate on that

Can you imagine the slander she’d receive on a national level if this went to trial in the next few years? It could be legitimately dangerous to her safety, even if she was found to be completely in the right.
Well for the snow, I’d imagine the cleared circle is from the heat from the fire. I’d say it’s more suspicious that the chopping block has unmelted snow on it so close to the fire, but it’s also possible someone moved it into frame for the picture, which also could be why it’s more crooked. And do you never put Christmas lights outside where you are? It could very well be just a regular tree with outdoor rated lights on it.
Not saying that it’s 100% not AI or anything, the vibe is definitely AI, just that I don’t see anything completely unreasonable in this image that gives it away.
Edit to add: it’s a photo from 4 years ago, categorically not AI.
@[email protected] I am likely many miles away, but I am here with you.
Today I’m going to plant some seedlings in the earth and say your name. When you next have the opportunity, please do similar for me.
We are not selfish, we are taking care of each other, little bit by bit. You are not alone. We are never alone.
