Hurts to see it actually happen, I’ve got really low confidence that the replacement will live up to what used to be there. With TTD gone Ka was a unique type of ride that probably won’t get replicated any time soon. It seems like every new launch is a swing or rolling start, which are good too but don’t have the impact of a zero-to-max launch.

Not to mention the drop tower, which never seemed to get the appreciation it deserved. Whenever the park did fireworks the view was spectacular, and the one dueling ride I got with Ka was probably the coolest experience I’ve had on any ride.

A bit, but more sim racer steering and no boosting. Shoving other racers off the road or into obstacles is still viable and satisfying but it works a bit differently. In burnout any significant impact will wreck the car and force a respawn. Wreckfest cars can take a lot of abuse but damage accumulates until the car is undriveable and gets DNF’d.

This is my go to racer, the handling leans realistic but the damage model is very gamey in just the right way. It’s a ton of fun dragging across the finish line in a car that’s missing a wheel and most of its crumple zone.

I’ve been eyeing this one for the last year, it hits a lot of great features but the price is pretty rough for not including base stations or controllers or audio.

If five rides are going down to make this, it needs to be something really groundbreaking. I’m hoping the mention of a launch means it isn’t a B&M giga like was rumored, Nitro-but-bigger wouldn’t add much to the park.

I know it’ll never happen, but I’d love to see something dueling. The park has had three different dueling rides but only one consistently did.

It doesn’t sound like a purely cut down version of the game. I get the sense this will have more substantial environment/gameplay changes made than the existing mode, which mostly wraps vr controls over the original game.

I’m not surprised eye tracking and adaptive triggers won’t work on PC, but no HDR is unfortunate. I doubt any pcvr games have HDR right now but first we need a capable headset.

I don’t reencode anything, I keep the raw bdmv rip and remuxed mkv for jellyfin. Even if the difference is imperceptible, as long as I have the storage space there’s no reason to spend time fiddling with conversion when it can only make things look worse.

I didn’t realize metal gear rising had a block/parry mechanic. The tutorial talks about countering enemy blows with your own barrage of attacks so I figured I just had to stagger them and steal health regularly. Monsoon is the first fight with no minions to heal off of, so I got stuck and finally checked online.

This past year in particular has really hammered it in for me that even if you can never truly delete something from the internet, it doesn’t mean it’ll still be there when you’re looking for it. Saving a link to something is not saving it at all, and I’m starting to become a data hoarder.
