What is wrong with the GDPR and the ePrivacy directive? The only problem I see is that they don’t go far enough (online tracking, for example)

This is an ad made by infomaniak to promote their products. OP, are you affiliated with them?
I think I would rather lick Technetium than Lithium
If it works it works. You mathematicians just don’t understand the pragmatics. What is tech debt?
Just more proof that the universe is flat
I told you to get lost and yet here you are still telling me that my lived experience is incorrect actually. Yes everyone forgets things sometimes, but ADHD and executive dysfunction means it happens more often and also it’s more difficult to deal with even when you do remember. Maybe go read up on those things because you are now blocked.
So the point still stands.
Coming into a community to gatekeep our experience is very disruptive. Please stop.
I could go into detail about why the ADHD condition actually does make it much harder to deal with stuff like subscriptions, but frankly you are not entitled to an explanation.
How hard could it be to find a picture of someone washing the dishes, without turning to the lying machine?
As I understand these NSF-funded research projects are only part of the entire curriculum. So it would be a misrepresentation to say that the US is “getting rid of” these students. They will still study and get a degree, they’ll just have a harder time finding an appropriate research project. That’s still bad, but not the same as what is claimed by the tweet.
How is the price of a cryptocoin even relevant to this post?
The tweet gave me the impression that these people lose their jobs. But it turns out that’s not entirely true, because it also counts undergrad and preK students who participate in a program one way or another. That’s still bad, but not as bad as the tweet suggests. Surely there is a better way to represent the budget request?
But seemingly most of these numbers are students?

More likely they would overthrow governments that refuse to let them extract natural resources, as they have done in the past.

They directly add cost, both for handling and fuel. Why should that be subsidized? Flying is already too cheap compared to other, more sustainable forms of transport.
Yes, the GDPR covers almost everything you do with personal data. That is the point. As long as you’re being respectful to data subjects the GDPR is surprisingly mild.
You’re the one claiming the government is regulating tech too much, below an article about Apple making that same claim. And when pressed about specifics, you brand the entire thing as off-topic.
It is very much on topic, you just don’t want to provide an argument.
