does the switch pro controller use different joysticks than the joycons?
my joycons have drift but the pro controller, which I’ve used more often, is perfectly fine

thanks for the heads up, loading it now!!

man, so many old school internet references will go unnoticed on lemmy :(
holds up spork
operation switched to HYPE mode

ha, I used to go the grocery store specifically to read entire magazines

just ordered a nice OTA antenna so I can watch my local channels, anything else needed will be purchased for exactly 1 month and then cancelled
I’ve also started looking at smaller streaming services like CuriosityStream and MagellanTV cause I’m more interested in documentaries and such instead of the latest weekly tv dramas

yep
I’ll take my lower salary to sit in my home office with central air
I wouldn’t last a day as a driver with their expectations and the need to move/lift heavy packages in the heat

lmao that is embarrassing
sadly spez will still make millions from the IPO before he abandons ship, so I guess in the end he still ‘wins’ at the expense of the users
there was a whole community on that other site just for these
r/catbongos
my cats love it!

as long as the money isn’t being wasted or contracts being handed out to companies owned by politician’s friends, yeah

yeah it’s a shame that libertarian basically means closeted republican these days
is there a better term?
I’d consider myself pretty libertarian-minded in the whole ‘you live your life and I live mine’ style, but not in the ‘let corporations do whatever they want to workers and the environment’ style

stack overflow is great if you want to be berated, given an irrelevant solution, and then have your question closed as a duplicate incorrectly

the sorting algorithms definitely need some work, I try to use ‘Hot’ but it constantly shows me posts from 1+ year ago
and multi-reddits were the only way I used that site once the feature was created so that would be a very welcome addition to lemmy!

anytime I saw a thread on reddit with 1,000+ comments I didn’t even bother to add my own view
I do like how pretty much any thread here on the fediverse is small enough that I feel like I can make a comment and participate

some communities do feel quite active, but I think sports as well as some niche interests could use a boost in activity here

according to that same website, kbin activity has been dropping
down from ~57,000 average at the beginning of July to about ~32,500 active users now
https://kbin.fediverse.observer/dailystats
I know I’ve been having issues with federation from kbin magazines to my lemmy instance, so I wonder if this is part of it?

I’m not sure if all of your points are covered, but this page has fediverse tips and an active mastodon account where you might be able to ask for the remaining scenarios to be covered

a million times this, so many young people overwork themselves and burn out quickly
I cringe whenever a see someone has checked in code at 1am on a weekend, and these people are also working normal business hours so it’s not like they are only working at night
sadly it’s usually the same people who never take PTO either

that sounds very interesting! I’m gonna go lookup FPGA emulation now
I use safari with an adblocker extension (AdGuard) on ios
youtube works just fine in a browser, the youtube app sucks anyway
