No matter what other opinion one may have, this is the real issue, and it is a very slippery slope.

Futurology@futurology.today•World’s first 100% battery-electric cruise ship unveiled with 1,856 passenger capacity.English
2·2 months agoIt’s just a concept. If someone is interested they’ll start thinking more about it.
But reality is hard against this to work. I don’t see ports having the electrical power to charge the batteries, and ships don’t generally have a use case for charging the batteries on diesel.
Single use would be trying to market “green” whale watching ships or “emission free port call” to ease getting autorisation with touristic cities closing in on port air pollution.

KDE@lemmy.kde.social•Found this issue in Krita that happens to all apps in Linux. Where to report it?
2·2 months agoI admit to having tested it only moving quickly. However, if moving slowly makes it appear and quickly makes it disappear, that means that Krita is probably just rendering the noise from the exact mouse position. If you see that in linux but not in Windows and Mac, it means that the probably the latter two have some kind of input smoothing option behind.

Even then, the pins need changing every now and then if you use them in salt water.
