What you get for the price seems pretty reasonable. You don’t need the GPS for a static node though; it’d just drain the battery faster.
Edit: meshtastic firmware moves quickly. Having a solar node way up high and hard to reach is cool and all but having one accessible for firmware updates would probably be better.

Did you try a press and hold / longer press on the button that doesn’t do anything?
Those antenna are so close for being on the same frequency. Quarter wavelength is typical, right? Maybe one out the top and one out the bottom?

MeshCore and Meshtastic aren’t even compatible, right?
Don’t touch red to black and you’ll be fine.

Neat idea.

This is pretty neat.
Likely… What a waste for a node that someone went through the trouble of putting high up.

If it has trouble hearing you then it’s likely there’s something near by producing lots of noise. Maybe cellular antenna. Look up cavity filters and maybe install one on it.

Torguard looks very BT friendly but I’ve still got mullvad subscription left and haven’t tried them. That and the branding / website just seem illegitimate though I’ve not found any legit criticisms.

Station G2, tdeck, rak boards, even pi hats. Lots of options depending on what you want to do.
Because there’s no context or complete thoughts.

How about a node in an airplane. I’ve gotten crazy long contacts via airplane hop.
Grats. There’s lots of nodes than don’t say “OK to mqtt” and thus don’t show up on the map. Maybe you’ll be less alone than you think.

A joke and stunt of a magazine that will soon be dead. Bad decision!

Gnucash books split for personal, joint, and business with a mysql backend. I wrote a read-only web frontend for wife and OTG access. Sadly no automation so I just stay on top of it.

This was at 69 upvotes and I almost didn’t add to them. Too perfect.
Like the other two comments are saying: use a recent version of gluetun and its built in functionality.
