There are plenty of weird blogs, just look up The Small Web. There are less weird blogs that make money, but I can’t say that I’m overly sad about that.
The headline is a little misleading: This isn’t really about small blogs, but more about how Private Equity harvests smaller companies, and leaves their husks to rot. That is a very legitimate problem that needs some serious solutions.
“Things that need to be done” is a gas-state that grows to fill the volume of time that you have.

Some of these might have changed in the meantime, but the last I heard:
Hell, if you go to most hosting-service company websites, you’ll find that they usually list some of their biggest customers in their marketing materials.

No they didn’t. There are plenty of companies that run multi-regional services, outside of AWS. This is just an excuse for making poor choices.

I’ve been thinking about using this to replace my self-hosted docker repo. Does anyone know how well this works with hosting a docker repo?
Oh, you mean the gross, overcrowded toilet that is typical of clubs? Weird that they didn’t want to use that. I wonder why that could be?
/sarcasm
We’ve already been doing the later. And how has that been working out?
You are correct, that I cannot understand something that I’ve never seen, or even heard of. I’ve seen shitfaced people stumble into restrooms pretty frequently. I’ve never seen someone say “I know there is a toilet less than a block from here, but I’d rather piss on the wall!”. But I hear the opposite all the time: “Man, I wish I didn’t have to piss out here, but the nearest toilet is a mile away”.
It is not feasible to blanket a city in toilets sufficiently to eliminate public urination…
Citation needed.
If people are still peeing in the street there, then it’s not enough.

Have you tried caffeine AND weed? It was truly a magical combination for me.
I always feel like my brain and my body are out of sync. When I used to smoke, it was like the gears suddenly synced up, and everything was running smoothly.
But in the past year or so, it suddenly became ANXIETY: Full steam ahead!
Brains are dumb
I’ve had people knock on my door trying to push stuff that I even agree with: fixing climate change, helping the homeless, anti-trump stuff…
And I still want them to GTFO. If someone interrupts my day, I’m not gonna listen to their pitch at all. It has to be something important, and something that I can help with right now.
It’s rare for me, but yeah, it does happen. I usually try Epic Games Launcher, Lutris, then Steam. If it doesn’t work with any of those, I ask for my money back.
I felt like I wasn’t getting enough done, so I started making reports on what I had worked on at the end of the day. That helped me realize that while I may not have “completed” a lot, I had made progress on a lot of things. It helped me realize that I was working a lot more than I thought.
Seriously. I pretty much only buy things off GoG nowadays. I can back it up to my own storage, and take it wherever I want. High-five to GoG.

I don’t mind being an I-Told-You-So type of guy. My problem is the people who keep ignoring us, then wanting sympathy. You get a couple passes, sure, but at some point, I’m no longer going to waste my time with you.

I use it to contol my OS, of course!
My superkey controls my OS (window-manager, music, launcher, brightness, etc).
My alt-key controls my tmux and browser
My ctrl-key controls the app (vim/bash/mpd)
