Protest, riot, strike, etc. The government is owned by the robber barons. Aligning healthcare with a profit motive is violence of the highest order and we should respond in kind.

politics @lemmy.world•RFK Jr. argues that Biden is a bigger threat to democracy than Trump | CNN Politics
46·2 years agoI’m baffled that people think we have a democracy in the first place when politicians can be bought and own stock in the companies they regulate.
good bot
I doubt it, unless things get unstable near the election

121·2 years agoMatrix is far too slow for what it’s intended to be. I’d certainly like to see E2EE come to Revolt.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Given Reddit's fall, what's an alternative to /r/BodyWeightFitness and its Recommended Routine? What bodyweight routine is scientifically valid, updated when needed, and aimed at strength?

I’d love to live in a European styled city, but I live in the US. The best option here is a small town.
Heh I went straight from Fedora to Debian. I’m 7 months late to this meme in true Debian fashion.

Yeah, I prefer Twitter. I have a suspicion that Mastodon will only get a chance at relevance if something at Twitter pushes people off the platform. Reddit’s 3rd party API ordeal seems to have boosted Lemmy quite a bit, so it shouldn’t take too much, but maybe I’m too optimistic.
I got back on Lemmy for the first time in 6 months and it’s way more active. I’ll be using it more. I tried Mastodon a while ago, but it didn’t stick. I’ll try again.

1·2 years agoI agree that most messaging services are problematic, but Facebook having Messenger is part of the moat that’s keeping FB users on Marketplace. I think offering any non-email messaging solution would be hugely beneficial. I like the Matrix idea quite a bit.

2·2 years agoI agree. However, I think that most people won’t use Craigslist simply because it doesn’t have a lot of the modern niceties, specifically modern messaging solutions. The email system they have is pretty painful to use.
