i do but my girlfriend definitely needs this book
sorry, cheap boomer humor. i don’t even have a girlfriend.
if only the iceberg had this back in 1912
i said typically, and colloquially. literally zero people refer to hemiptera specifically when they say bug. if you look at the american heritage dictionary, that’s the exact order used in the definitions:
#bug
/bŭg/noun
-
An insect having mouthparts used for piercing and sucking, such as an aphid, a bedbug, or a stinkbug.
-
An insect of any kind, such as a cockroach or a ladybug.
-
A small invertebrate with many legs, such as a spider or a centipede.
-
PhD is not even a “level of intelligence”.
bug is typically something that stings, while insect is more generic.

10·2 months agodevelopers usually know what’s up. assassin’s creed 4, a pirate game that mimicked the assassin’s creed series that ended with ac3, made the templar’s modern day front, abstergo, into a ubisoft parody. in that game abstergo literally makes assassin’s creed games with ulterior motives. it was almost like the devs were going “man, fuck this dumbass company” and did that as a middle finger to their bosses.

4·2 months agoyep. that’s the biggest tell that the Smurfs is about communism. in any other kids story the antagonist would either want to get rid of them or eat them, which is why most people just assume that’s what he wants. but no, he wants gold. he’s a capitalist.
ohh you absolute idiot, if you paid attention in science class you would know that light travels faster than sound: we see your mouth moving but don’t hear anything first so we say “huh” but at that point enough time has passed for the sound to reach our ears, therefore we can answer without need for repetition.

this is the classic answer but it also fails pure logic because the question only implies one of them actually works, and even then, it’s only one of them. the truth is any number of them could work, or a specific combination, or a number of combinations, or it might be none. the bulb itself to could be busted. my point is not to be an uncooperative asshole but that a logic puzzle that relies on real world properties should cover its bases.
