2·2 years agoI’m not sure how Immovable Rods work exactly, but presumably with three of them you could place two, stand on them, place the third at some reasonable height, move the first two to a new location and repeat as needed, then once at the appropriate height, “lock” the top rung and use the ladder proper to climb back down, setting the other immovable rungs as needed.
Like a climber tree stand for murder hobos.
1·2 years agoIs IoT LTSC a viable replacement for a Pro install in a home enviroment? I do a lot of remote desktop work to access the machine. It’s either that or Linux with Proton to emulate Windows must haves at home.
That depends, how far in the future, how big of an expense, how much interest can you earn, and what’s inflation looking like?
If it’s more than a couple thousand dollars more than a couple years out, you could possibly make useful money with a high interest bearing account provided inflation is expected to be less than about 2/3 of the interest rate of the account.
Time IS money.

31·2 years agoI’ve been using DockSTARTer for years and it does what I need, when I need it.
If the goal is to learn, then go for learning Docker directly.
If the goal is to do it well and quickly, don’t reinvent the wheel.
Are you sure that’s not an artifact of the powerline data? I use RDP over a wireless bridge to do something similar and some days it’s 10/10 perfect, others it’s dogshit/10.

I’ve clocked over 2,000 hours (per Stream) and only just realized I’ve never actually played to “win” via the vanilla victory conditions. Thanks mods!
Can the ISP offer dedicated IPv4 addresses? We had a similar issue with the new rural fiber provider. I spent hours tinkering and researching only to finally call support.
