Something I’ve been thinking about as I’m radicalizing even more recently is that I started college as a liberal but basically as a Bernie Bro. During college I watched a docu-series called The Untold History of the United States. It corroborated a lot of claims I was getting trickle-fed from /r/latestagecapitalism. Then when I took my History classes in college around Junior semesters, my fairly un-biased professor went more in-depth on all the stuff you normally cover in HS but mentioned that we definitely didn’t win the Vietnam War, and “most likely” the Soviets are who won WW2. It was vailidating and it I think it really kick-started the rest of my journey into socialism. Shortly after I graduated, I read the Communist Manifesto. Shortly after BLM I started seriously reading theory. At some point I read A People’s History of the United States, and the whole corroboration thing came back again. 3 separate sources confirming the same thing about the US, one being an academic professor.

But it’s also funny because I say sometimes that I’m the meme where college turned me into a socialist. I hate that I have unpayable debt from it but I also wonder where I would be politically had I not went.

I don’t have many impressive things to show off and I mostly only do digital books but this is my 1932 copy of State and Rev. I hate opening it because it’s so brittle it feels like the pages are gonna fall out. I found it at a local book store ran by a cool AnCom dude.

It’s funny because after I got fired my production went through the roof because I was able to work on my own stuff without dealing with other people’s bullshit.

I have ASD so once I get into that hyperfocus flowstate, and get pulled out of it, it’s like everything around me just shatters lol. My partner and oldest kid have ADHD so when either or both are around I mostly don’t even bother with code. I was able to get a tiny bit of stuff done this morning but it was mostly stuff I have on mental autopilot like git stuff.

I’ve lost my shit with people over this lol. Just sucks when you are like 3 hours in on something and then someone just comes along and makes small talk.

Added Lavender and Red to my library. I have all the rest and have worked through all but 4 I think. Solid list.

1. Mostly movies from yts . mx, and movies and tv shows from watchsomuch . to.
2. Mostly for convenience and I think information should be free. I cam back to the high seas after they decided to have 4,758 different streaming services and kind of hate exclusive as an excuse to get you to pay for one service over another.
3. I have a dedicated 6TB hard drive(wish I would have paid a bit extra for an 8 or 10 though). I also used it for rsync back ups but that’s it.
4. I switch back and forth between Jellyfin and Plex. Jellyfin is a bit fiddly but open, Plex “just work” but is closed source. I try to use free software as much as I can.
5. Both JF and Plex will keep track, but I’ve had issues with JF if a movie or show doesn’t want to run(I think it’s a transcoding issue) sometimes I lose progress of my most recent watched stuff. Kind of sucks. I’ve had more issues with JF than with Plex which sucks.

I just told some discord friends about it and now they are screeching about Tienanmen Square and such. Whoops.

I’m gonna be doing the impossible and try to set up a PSL branch deep in Christo-fascist Trumpland.
