Regular thing! Regular thing! Regular thing!
This is great, thank you.

One of the first games I played on deck and I look back on it very fondly, a perfect deck game.

Are you enjoying it?

(mild spoilers) Going through the Jurassic World movies with my dino-loving son. Quite liked the first one but my god Fallen Kingdom was awful. Somehow made killer dinosaurs and exploding volcanoes really lame and dull. My son loved it, though the raptor in the house stuff gave him nightmares, and the bronti in the fog made him cry.

Managed to get emulation running nicely on my steam deck. Still trying to finish the last 3 books on a yearly bingo challenge I’ve got til April to finish and then I’m locking in on some good old games.

What We Do in the Shadows - first two episodes. Felt like the first ep was a dull take on the film, but the second ep got some good laughs out of me.
Star Trek: Enterprise - I’m nearly done now, nearing the end of the last season. This is the first time I’ve committed to watching a full show of Trek rather than just dipping in and out, catching odd episodes. I’ve really, really enjoyed it and excited to move onto the next show. I’m following this guide and watching every series in chronological order.

Drew McWeeny who used to write for HitFix and AICN has a substack called Formerly Dangerous that’s pretty good. Otherwise these days I tend to just use reddit/facebook groups and letterboxd.
Watching him ‘help’ the fediverse grow by constantly trying to divide and ostracise people would be ironic if it wasn’t so obviously dumb

Looks fun, Ben’s voice doesn’t do it for me though.

The Pope’s Excorcist which I thought was brilliantly daft but my partner just found a chore to sit through. Of anyone who made or watches the film, Russell Crowe definitely had the most fun.

Name Fraser. Like Song Ice and Fire. Ser Fraser.
That must be a real pain in the 🍑

It was suggested by the sign up process at the top of which domain I should join. I don’t remember how, it’s already a blur, but afterwards I saw people saying the registration process needed to add a way of directing users to smaller instances as a thing to lighten the load and stop everyone going to lemmy.world and it confused me because that’s literally what happened to me.
Anyway I also noticed it had a steam deck community and that was good enough for me.
