From what I recall their Dev team is strongly against it, and they are community driven more than they are run by Mozilla corporate

FP6 was planned to have CalyxOS available but CalyxOS got kinda fucked over when 4 of their major team left. It may come one day though. You can use iodeOS but its basically lineage with bootloader locking
no but actually I can’t stand wasting my storage on telemetry bloated bullshit. Let me use the website or I’m noy buying your garbage
this really smugged my ideology

If you consider tracking your employees and customers via ALPR (Flock & Co.) to be a factor in “least shitty”

I’m confused, was this a Lineage specific feature? Ive had it since like Android 12 or 13
No bloat! /s
Dont quote me on this but having a 2nd job would disqualify them from Medicare, which appears to be their only form of health insurance.
You still have not disclosed the quote “serious financial options”, and as an autistic person who is not able to deduce conclusions based on breadcrumbs all you’re doing to me is withholding information. So, congratulations I guess. You made your point while filtering the disabled.
Are you going to share the knowledge with the class or keep it to yourself?

Google has announced a new feature called Android Emergency Live Video
They really need to start naming shit better because is this AOSP Android or Google Android. My money is on this being a Google Dialer specific feature.
Not that I want it. Just pointing out that Android used to be open.

The amount of times ive had a large transfer over WiFi fail after like 15 minutes of waiting is more than reason enough. Happened with LocalSend and FTP. I’d rather just use a physical reliable connection. Not to mention WiFi will not work for a Laptop Dock.

Faster file transfer speeds if I’m taking video off the phone, and I would like to purchase a Nexdock eventually so I can have an easy small thing to carry around for server administration instead of my 16" laptop.

Gonna copy and paste my previous comment
Nick has not released a public statement on why he “left” the Calyx Institute and I will not be supporting any of his future projects until he gives us an explanation. We’ve heard from Chiryu, Tommy Web, and Oliver Scott. Silence from Nick. Why?

can’t wait for the FP7 so i can buy a fairphone. Unless they still.use a USB 2.0 USB port. In which case I will use my current phone until its dead in the water.

How many of these changes are actually in AOSP, and can be expected in Lineage, Graphene, Iode, Calyx /e/ so in and so fourth?

Graphene is the only rom not hamstrung by thay issue because they have OEM access. They had QPR1 code before most anyone else did. Im not a huge fan of the project but, credit where its due i dont think theyre going anywhere.
Thats crazy, wasnt aware they moved over to Fedi (and possibly off bsky?) Thats cool.
edit: nvm their linktree is just outdated as shit. their last post on fedi was in 2023.
