This man desporatly trying to stay relevent. He was voted out for being all talk with no policies. I had to stop watching half way through because I had run out of fingers to count the lies.
Remember this is the guy who held up the Public Housing fund for like 9 months for no reason.

It’s almost as if he was a member of a minor party and not not the ruling government…

Well they got billions extra added to the fund and it’s not like anyone else was stepping up to vote for it. Greens get more shit for this than the liberals do when they never support it and they also get more shit for it than Labor does when all labor would have to do is approve another 25 000 homes.

Labor and the greens both delayed it, the difference being greens delayed it so that more would be added to the bill, Labor delayed it so that they could get away with less and have a win in the public eyes. Labor ultimately relented to the greens insisting that doing more good things is better but turns out the typical Australian doesn’t care about things being better.

Don’t even get me started on how right wing people use this as a justification for never giving the greens an inch on anything when the right was always opposed to the bill and never supported it.

Its a little more complicated than Labor trying to get away with bare minimum. That might be part of it, but set that aside for a moment theres the politics to consider.

Look at the situation from their perspective they’d already relented once to the Greens, if they relented twice on ‘big’ legislation they opened themselves up to right wing attacks of Labor being ‘cONtroLled’ by the Greens. Thats not a place Labor wants to be in heading into another election.

Wait, it was the greens and LNP holding hands to block the bill. If I remember correctly, everyone else was voting for it…
Mathers loves to say that ALP and LNP are the same, including multiple times in the linked video. Yet he couldn’t understand that the purpose of the Fund is to build public housing even when LNP are in power. I remember multiple interviews where his “they are both the same” retoric made him look stupid (at least to me) because was working with LNP to stop the ALP from litterally being different.

Your second Paragraph makes zero sense to me. That is some 4D chess you are attempting to explain.
